Slough Happiness Collective
Happiness Get Togethers: a chance to meet like-minded people and take some time to explore how we can make ourselves and others happier. They start with a few minutes mindfulness followed by a simple gratitude practice and then a chance to discuss a topic such as ‘how can we be more kind to ourselves and others’? It’s scientifically proven that you can impact your own happiness despite your circumstances and your genes. Join us and find out how. Takes place every first Thursday of the month, starting Thursday 6th June 2019 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Activity Venue: Central Working, The Future Works, Brunel Way, SL1 1XL. This is a free activity. Feel-Good Festivals: celebrate World Kindness Day on Wednesday 13th November to have some fun and take home some ideas, tools, and tips to make yourself and others happier. We’ll be bringing together local creatives, well-being practitioners and happiness facilitators to give you a chance to have some fun, try something new and learn new skills. There’ll be a chance to: take part in playful arts and crafts activities; try new things such as Therenga or immersing yourself in Virtual Reality or speed smiling; participate in happiness and well-being workshops; enjoy dancing, drumming and singing experiences; take home ideas to improve your happiness and well-being. This event takes place 3 to 4 times a year – Blue Monday 21/01, World Happiness Day 20/03 & World Kindness Day 13/11. Starts at 4pm and finishes at 9pm. Activity Venue: HOME on the HIGH Street, 43 - 44 The Observatory Shopping Centre High Street, Slough, SL1 1LN. This is a free activity.
