Conflict Resolution charity for young people. Aik Saath is dedicated to the promotion of peace and racial harmony through the teaching of conflict resolution in the local community.
Aik Saath works in young people's centers, with youth groups in both the statutory and non-statutory sectors and with agencies providing support to young people not in education, employment or training (NEET). Aik Saath has a proven track record of providing engaging projects that succeed in stimulating groups of young people of varied ages and abilities.
The training and workshops that Aik Saath is based upon issues from society, including; community cohesion, extremism, anti-racism, understanding anger, anti-bullying, peer medication and mentoring, faith and conflict and saying no to knives.
Until 19th December 2014, On Thursdays from 18.00-20.00 Aik Saath run a group for Girls at Manor Park Community Center. This group is run by other young women and enables the participants to build up a portfolio of the activities they take part in which will then be assessed by the Arts Awards Council. If the portfolio then passes, the participant will be awarded with a recognised qualification.
To attend the girls group you do not need to book a place to attend. Just come to the Manor Park Community Center from 6-8pm on Thursdays. To take part you must be female and 11-19 (or up to 25 for those who have a disability).
