Berkshire Vision: Social Club Drivers Across Berkshire
Berkshire Vision is a local registered charity with over 100 years of expertise and experience in the provision of services, advice and support to more than 2,000 people across Berkshire who are blind or partially sighted.

Berkshire Vision recognises that help and support from volunteers will make a significant contribution towards allowing the charity to support those in need.

Would you like to help visually impaired people feel less isolated and meet up with their friends once a month? We are looking for volunteer drivers to help transport our members to and from their local Berkshire Vision Social Club meetings.

If you could help with any of these locations, we would be delighted to hear from you:
• Bracknell Club – meetings held on the last Thursday afternoon most months.
• Hungerford Club – meetings held on the second Wednesday afternoon most months.
• Newbury Club – meetings held on the fourth Tuesday afternoon most months.
• Thatcham Club – meetings held on the second Tuesday afternoon most months.

Key Skills:
• Driver – you will need to hold a driving license and have use of your own vehicle. You will be able to claim out of pocket travel expenses.
• Good Communicator – ideally you will have good communication skills and be empathetic to the needs of the members.
• Committed – regular commitment is needed for this role.

Knowledge of visual impairment would be useful but not essential as you will receive a Visual Impairment Awareness training session at our offices in Reading and you will receive biannual newsletters to keep you up to date with Berkshire Vision news.

As a member of the volunteer team you will be asked to liaise with the Volunteer Coordinator where appropriate.

Please note that applicants for this position need to be aged 21 and over. Our application procedure consists of an application form, 2 references and an enhanced DBS check.
