Slough Museum are looking for trustees – particularly for the key roles of both Chair and Treasurer.
This is an exciting time for Slough, as well as our Museum. The town is transforming itself once again through Crossrail, the Urban Renewal project and redevelopment of the shopping centres & High Street. The Museum is being supported by SEGRO plc and volunteers to store and sort the Collection, ready for accreditation, exhibitions and public engagement in 2020 and beyond… Join us at this time of development, change and opportunity – of celebrating our past and shaping our future. Slough Museum aims to be brave, adaptable, courageous and move with and shape the times - to be integrated and led by our community. Slough Museum’s mission is: To foster a sense of pride in Slough. We develop imaginative and inclusive programming and displays, and we encourage people to share their stories and knowledge of Slough. We explore and celebrate Slough’s past, present and future. Slough Museum is keen to reach out to representatives from our diverse communities and people of all ages and backgrounds to help inform and influence our future direction. We are particularly looking for people to join the Board with skills, knowledge and experience in the following areas: Digital/websites Finance/Accounting Legal/HR Leadership/Influencing However, to enable the Museum to become more relevant and resilient a range of different skills, knowledge and experience is important – so if you are a positive team player, want a new experience and are committed to making change happen then please get in touch… All interested are invited to a conversation with trustees and a Board meeting before committing and all trustees are offered training and development opportunities.
