Volunteers are required to assist the Family Support Worker by: • Helping with the care of children • Involvement with the children in different creative and play activities. Skills / Qualifications • A love for children and patience in working with them • An understanding of children’s needs • Skills in arts and crafts, storytelling, music, are a bonus and useful but not essential • The availability to commit to one or more sessions a week. You will be supported in your work by the Family Support Worker and will have access to training on safeguarding and working with vulnerable children. You can volunteer at either the Tuesday or Wednesday sessions, or both. Volunteers are provided with induction, supervision and support. Travel expenses (up to an agreed limit) will be reimbursed.
